Is ANIMAIL an IncrediMail alternative?
Yes. ANIMAIL is a new Windows email client inspired by the joy of expressive email: animated notifiers, stationery, sounds and personality. It is an independent project, with original animals and design. It is still a preview, rather than a complete feature-for-feature replacement.
Do I need a new email address?
No. ANIMAIL is a mail client for your existing address, not an email provider. Connect a compatible account using your provider’s secure IMAP and SMTP settings.
Will it work with Gmail or Outlook?
Gmail accounts that support Google app passwords can use IMAP/SMTP. Yahoo, iCloud and compatible domain accounts also have app-password/manual setup. Microsoft Outlook sign-in requires OAuth, which is not available yet. Provider compatibility and real-account acceptance testing remain in progress.
Do the animals really walk above the taskbar?
Yes. In the Windows app, original animal notifiers enter from the lower right and perform above the Windows taskbar. The website playground shows an illustrative preview inside the page.
Can I import my old IncrediMail messages?
Not yet. A tested IncrediMail archive importer is not included. Keep your original mail files and backups; installing ANIMAIL does not convert or recover them.
What does the preview cost?
The current Windows preview is free to download and explore. Future pricing has not been announced. It is unsigned development software; read the compatibility notes before using real accounts.
